Summary
NoS Summary - Wrens building a nest, baby birds hatching, growing up & learn to fly.
NoS synopsis: "Mother Wren is blessed with a good hubby, for out he goes in the spring hunting for a nice summer rendezvous." C/Us of a bird building a nest in a nesting box. "The interior decorations cause father a little trouble. C/U of the bird going into the box and trying to pull twigs inside. More shots of the birds going to and fro with twigs. C/U of the opened nesting box with all the contents spread out on a table. "Everything but the kitchen sink -" is found inside: nails, bits of metal, feathers, twigs, hair grips etc. C/U overhead shot of the opened box showing the twigs and feathers inside. Hand goes inside and picks out a tiny egg. The egg is placed back inside. "All ready for Mother". Through camera trick eggs appear in the nest one by one as if by magic. "Soon the babies are born, and proud father tells the world about it!" C/U of baby bird hatching from an egg. "A growing family!" Other babies appear. "Little Willie takes his first look at a cold, hard world -" C/U of wren sitting on a branch singing. The birds are seen rolling around on a piece of fabric. We see various shots of them at various ages to show how they grow. "After fifteen days they are ready for a first "flap". C/U of the nesting box, bird puts little worms inside to feed the babies. "Little Willie takes his first look at a cold, hard world - " Extreme C/U of young bird looking out of the box. It emerges from the box and flies off. "A new family branch launched into the world." L/S of five of the wrens sitting on a branch.
