Summary
NoS Summary - film showing an all-girl band fishing for their supper.
NoS synopsis: "Cynics say women never will let any kind of poor fish alone - but they angle differently in Florida - they serenade them!" L/S of a group of women walking towards the camera through a wood. Some play instruments (banjos and ukuleles) and others carry fishing rods. M/S of the girls putting their instruments down on a table in the open air. "Hooking this kind of fish is a change for Eve - " L/S of the girls who stand around the edges of pools of water with their fishing rods. M/S of some of the girls fishing. Panning shot of the girls’ legs. A fish is lifted out of the water on the end of a line. Other girls get a bite too. M/S of two glamour girls fishing. "Oh! It’s alive!" Closer shot of one of the girls as she takes the fish off the hook. She laughs as it wriggles. She puts it in a little "keep basket" she has over her shoulder. She shakes her hand as if a bit disgusted! "And afterwards - they "fry it with music"! - real piscatorial harmonizers." L/S of the girls all gathered together playing their instruments and singing. Panning shot of the girls. M/S of two girls standing at an outside stove. They sing as they fry their fish. C/U of the frying pan with its contents. Panning shot showing the girls cooking and the other girls playing. Someone makes an announcement that dinner is served and they all get up and rush towards the stove.
