NoS Summary - tracing the fashions and styles in dancing.
British Pathe synopsis: Introductory intertitle reads: "When we were young and the spirit of dance was afoot." Young woman in a ballet tutu dances around an ornamental garden with fountain and statues. Ballerina teaches a young girl some steps (the girl is probably 2 or 3 years old). C/U of the two dancers on some stone steps. The two then dance - the mother on points, the daughter on tiptoe. "Simple and sedate - different to the time the Charleston first took our fancy - " Two young dancers (about 4 or 5 years old) do a Charleston. Then we see a group of people dressed in the costume of the 1830s doing a very formal dance in the open air. Most of the dancers are children.
