Summary

NoS Summary - A cigarette dispenser is demonstrated and some rubber shoe protectors.
British Pathe synopsis: Introductory intertitle reads: "Here is the very very latest from the mart of feminine fashion.." M/S of a glamorous woman sitting on a chaise longue reading a magazine. C/U of her face as she reaches out to a contraption on a small table beside her. She pulls down a lever on the side of an ornate box and a cigarette drops down into a special holder. Pushing down the lever still further lights the cigarette. C/U of the cigarette being taken out of the machine. M/S of the woman putting the cigarette to her mouth and taking a drag. She smiles, smokes and flicks through her magazine. "Enter another novelty." A friend walks in and joins her. She sits down beside her chatting away and opening her handbag. C/U of the second woman’s hands as she pulls out two black rubber devices from a little pouch. They look like large un-blown-up balloons. As she turns them in her hands they are revealed to be little rubber shoes. C/U of the woman’s legs as she puts the rubber devices over her shoes. She crosses and uncrosses her legs several times to show them off. She then takes them off again. C/U of her rolling them up and putting them back in the pouch and then the handbag.
