Summary
NoS Summary - John Kirby, George Gee, Owen Nares, Desmond Jeans, Toots Marty and Mack at the Palace Theatre.
British Pathe synopsis: Extracts from "Hold Everything" the new musical comedy at the Palace Theatre in London. High angle shot of the stage with large dancing chorus. Girls do high kicks and cartwheels over the arms of boys. The dancers go underneath each others’ arms and do a bit of the Charleston. John Kirby and George Gee do a little comedy dance pretending to be coy and cute. They dance holding hands. The larger comedian does a turn under the other’s arm. They bow and curtsey to each other and skip off. Toots, Marty and Mack do some tap dancing on some steps on the stage. Then the chorus boys and girls do a routine on the steps. The men are dressed in top hat and tails and the girls in short shiny shorts with an imitation shirt front and top hats. Good routine running up and down the stairs. Owen Nares and Desmond Jeans do a boxing turn. There is a boxing ring set up on stage and the chorus egg them on. C/U of the beautiful young things screaming and shouting behind the ropes. C/U of the victor.
