Summary
NoS Summary - Herbert Mundin, George Grossmith and Renee Gadd at Daly’s Theatre, London.
British Pathe synopsis: Man wearing a top hat and tails in C/U struggles with his bow tie. He pulls faces as if very uncomfortable and his hat wobbles around. Dissolve into him walking down some steps on a stage set. Chorus girls stand around in floaty evening frocks and chorus boys stand behind them in suits. The chorus dance. We see a long shot of the stage, and then an unusual shot - from a box at the side of the stage, with three men enjoying the show. The dance continues with the girls doing a punching into the air movement. Low angle shot of the girls’ legs as they dance. M/S of different stage set representing a domestic interior. A man lounges in a chair speaking into a stick telephone. Meanwhile, out of his line of vision a woman in a white floaty dress does a high kick routine. He suddenly notices her and looks shocked. He keeps breaking off her conversation to look at her legs. She jumps onto the chair beside him then off again and continues dancing. They dance around the chair after each other.
