Summary

NoS Summary - hats made by crocheting crêpe paper.
British Pathe synopsis: "Summer-time is River-time - when there is any summer, and a river..." L/S of a riverbank scene - houses by the river bank. People relaxing and looking at the view. A woman passes the camera in a rowing boat. C/U of a woman sitting in a punt. She cuts some paper with a large pair of scissors. "This lady is cutting crêpe paper, which she crochets into a smart little hat." Another shot of the craftswoman as she cuts the paper. M/S of the woman and a friend as they sit in the punt crocheting their hats. C/U over the shoulder of the first woman showing her crocheting. C/Us of the crochet circle as it grows. C/U of a large circle of crochet being held up to the camera. C/U of the finished hat. A ribbon is wrapped around it. C/U of woman pulling on the hat. She poses for the camera. "A variety of styles ensures Eve having her choice." Various hats are modelled.
