Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Armistice Day 1931. DESCRIPTION: With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children, England mourns for her dead across the sea. Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit, fallen in the cause of the free. (Binyon). Fol. Britain turns to remember that other great emergency "with proud thanksgiving". To the Cenotaph in Whitehall, as to War Memorials throughout the World, thousands make a pilgrimage all the more sincere for the anxieties which afflict nations today. Age shall not weary them, not the years condemn. SHOTLIST: Elevated shot of the Prince placing wreath. Elevated shot of the Cenotaph and the ceremony.
