NoS synopsis: "A feature is Lyn Harding’s womderful characterisation of the sinister Svengali." Harding in front of mirror making up. "There is an art even in borrowing as Svengali shows when he borrows from Taffy (Lauderdale Maitland)." "Zouzou (George A. Temple) has some difficulty in making a speech. Why? Well ---" Acting scene, people dancing in a room, man stands on chair trying to make a speech. "Trilby (cleverly interpreted by Phyllis Neilson-Terry) comes under Svengali’s evil influence ---". "Svengali’s triumph when Trilby, hypnotised, sings her famous song "Sweet Alice Ben Bolt"."
