Summary
NoS Summary - Comedienne Miss Nellies Wallace is seen at home.
British Pathe synopsis: Miss Nellie Wallace does housework, polishes shoes, offers her dog an apple, and demonstrates her hobby of celery raising (joke in the title about salary raising). She goes out into her garden and pulls two heads of celery from the ground. They do not look as if they are growing there! She sniffs the celery and (lip reading) says "ooh lovely". She hugs the celery to her chest. She then sits on the sofa with her sister and dog reading a funny book - both women laugh uproariously.
