Summary
NoS synopsis: ‘Now let the Kiddies spend a minute with "THE NOAH FAMILY" from the Children’s Corner of "the Daily News".' ‘We’ll call their escapade - "Japhet, a fish, and a plum cake".' ‘Mr Noah, you know, ADORES fishing ... and here you see him taking Selina, Matilda and Japhet with him, because they’ve been - for one! - extra good with their lessons.' Mr Noah and three children stand side by side on the bank of a river. (They are played by a man and three children acting as though they were marionettes.) Mr Noah casts his line in. Japhet copies him but gets his hook caught on Mr. Noah’s jacket. Close up of the line tugging on the back of the jacket. ‘Tim Tossett, Japhet’s "human" friend, joins the party.' Tim arrives and shakes hands with Japhet. ‘Japhet looks like becoming troublesone - so Mr. Noah offers a nice plum cake to the one who catches the biggest fish. This is just an excuse of course, to get away on his own.' Mid shot of them all fishing. Close up as Mr. Noah gestures his offer and then leaves. Both of the girls catch fish, then Tim does too. The three of them leave. A policeman sends Japhet away. '*-* Bribery!' A delivery boy with a basket of fish is seen leaning on railings. Japhet does a deal with him.
