- Summary - the "Will Shakespeare" company visiting Stratford-upon-Avon.
NoS synopsis: ‘Shakespeare re-visits Stratford-on-Avon-' intertitle with a cartoon of Shakespeare on the right hand side and a car on the left. ‘Members of the "WILL SHAKESPEARE" Company paid a visit to Stratford-on-Avon, where they went over some of the scenes in the play.' Garden with a timber-framed building behind, and a stone planter in the foreground. A man in Elizabethen dress approaches the planter and sits on its edge. Screen telescopes to a rustic bench in a garden. A man and woman in Elizabethan dress approach it and then sit and cuddle up like lovers. ‘The famous 300 years old cottage of ANN HATHAWAY. Shakespeare saying good-bye to Ann Hathaway on setting out for London with Henslowe.' Two men leave the timber-framed building, whilst Hathaway grips Shakespeare’s arm. She is then comforted and brought back into the house by an older woman. Long shot of a large stone brdieg spanning a river. Shakespeare and Henslowe wlak accross it. Shakespeare stops to admire the river, then they continue on their way. - Keywords
