Summary
COI synopsis: The Festival Ballet was formed twenty eight years ago but it was only this year that they moved into premises of their own. Maggie Palmer visits their new home, Festival Ballet House, in London, and learns what it was like for the company during those chaotic, "homeless" years from Beryl Grey - and gets a look at the dedication and sheer hard grind behind the glamour of the ballet.
Researcher Comments
Includes an interview with the Australian ballet master Vassilie Trunoff and his wife Joan, a ballet mistress and brief footage of the company dancing ‘Prodigal Son’. NB: Information drawn from the Australian version.
