- Summary
- COI synopsis: Browsing round a display of flawless cut glass Maggie Palmer is told that she can’t really hope to become an expert unless she knows what goes into producing the pure crystal glass. Not being able to resist a challenge of that kind, Maggie goes off to one of the homes of the glass-making industry - Stourbridge in the English Midlands. Here she discovers the blowers, cutters, designers and engravers, all experts in their own right, who produce the beautiful and distinctive lead crystal glassware.
