Summary
COI synopsis: Big cities and big companies are, by no means, all there are to industry in Britain - as Maggie Palmer discovers on a visit to the Isle of Wight, off England’s south coast. Nearly 70% of firms employ fewer than 25 people - and in looking at small firms that make everything from glass to clothes to boats, she finds out about the national organisation behind them - The Council for Small Industries in Rural Areas.
