Summary
NoS synopsis: An introduction to the World of Islam Festival. Includes television footage of the Queen opening the main event - The Arts of Islam exhibition at the Hayward Gallery, London in April 1976, audience reaction, and a statement to camera by Paul Keeler, the exhibitions organiser. Many of the exhibits on display are also shown. Various venues are featured including the Horniman Museum and the Science Museum. Exhibits shown include: Nomad and City, Koran and Hausa exhbitions, muscial instruments and a water clock.
