- Summary
- COI synopsis: 83 years ago a new sport was launched on the world... Rugby League, a game that had its roots in the tough working class communities of the industrial north of England but a game that has grown and developed over the years to become one of the world’s great sports. London Line visits Rugby League country to see the state of the game in its 83rd year of life, and talks to Yorkshireman and test cricketer Freddie Trueman about the other great sporting love of his life, the game they call ‘the religion of the North’.
