Summary
COI synopsis: For the modern coastguards, who want to co-ordinate rescue operations involving ships, aircraft, and land communications, the old system of apprenticeship is no longer sufficient. We see the new School for Coast Guards at Brixham, Devon, and join in a practice cliff rescue operation, training in ship to shore rescue by Breeches Buoy, and an exercise in a co-ordinated rescue operation at sea.
