Summary
COI synopsis: Blind computer programmers have always suffered one disadvantage over their sighted colleagues: they have been unable to communicate directly with a computer. To eliminate this disadvantage, a small portable terminal, looking something like a briefcase, has been developed. Either directly, or by telephone link, the blind programmer is connected to the computer. He can ask it direct questions and the answers appear as mechanised braille on a small strip below the keyboard on his terminal.
