- Summary
- COI synopsis: A few unusual approaches to stepping up efficiency in agriculture. Every year, the equivalent of millions of tons of fuel is burned off to rid the fields of straw. And the major reason is that straw is just too bulky for economic transportation or storage. But, turn the huge, loose straw bales into tiny cyclinders of rock-hard solid fuel, and you have a totally different situation. Indeed, you have a totally different material as well: solid straw.
