Summary

COI synopsis: Many an awkward problem can be solved by introducing a bit of flexibility. In this issue we look at the importance of being flexible - and what flexibility can mean. When people suffer from a rare and hitherto incurable disease their skin may lose its amazing natural flexibility and instead become a cage. But now a new treatment, which grew out of research to make meat more tender, means that many patients can be cured.
