MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: French Ministers Pay Visit to Berlin. DESCRIPTION: Fol. The visit to Berlin of M Laval, French Premier and M Briand, Foreign Minister, is a significant historical event, as the last official attendance of French ministers in the German capital was as long ago as 1878. Our pictures show that they were well received. Before leaving Paris, M Laval gives out a conciliatory statement to the Press. Sub.1. M Laval and M Briand are met by Drs. Bruning and Curtius in Berlin. Sub.2. M Briand lays wreath on grave of Dr Stressemann. Sub.3. M Briand refuses, but M Laval obliges with a few words at Hotel Adlon. Sub.4. French Statesmen return to Paris after most successful visit. SHOTLIST: The ministers pose in group for photo. CU of the two ministers. Car leaves. Drives through cheering crowds and draws up at Hotel. The two alight. M Laval speaks. Crowds wave. They appear on balcony. Sub.2. The wreath is laid. CU. Wreath. CU grave.
