Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Glass Re-Cycling. DESCRIPTION: Bottle Banks set up in Oxfordshire to collect empty bottles and jars have been a great success. The bottles are pulverised and melted down and emerge as brand new bottles. SHOTLIST: MS waste container. MCU sign ‘Clear Glass Bottles & Jars only’. CU ‘Amber Bottles Only’ sign. CU ‘Clear Bottles’ sign. MS woman disposes bottles in appropriate section. MS interior section. MS woman looks into her bag. CU woman places bottles in ‘Clear’ section. MS ditto. CU interior bottles entering. CU bottles pull back to tractor lifting some. BV tractor reverses. MS tractor with bottles. MS ditto and outs bottles into hopper. MS bottles and broken glass out of hopper onto conveyor belt to be pulverised. MS pulverised glass at furnace to be melted. CU ditto. MCU molten glass dropping out of furnace. MS ditto and same into mould. MS mould opens. MS glass transferred. MS bottles. MS basic shape bottles put into another mould. MS bottles on conveyor belt. MS bottles with flames behind.
