- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Undersea Gas Pipe. DESCRIPTION: To carry North Sea Gas from the Anglo-Norwegian Frigg Field a pipeline has had to be laid beneath the Firth of Forth. A 3 mile channel was dredged beneath the Firth and the pipes are pulled through by hydraulic rams. SHOTLIST: GAV road and rail bridges. GAV Forth Road Bridge. GAV ditto - rail bridge on right. AV track round rail bridge. GV bridges showing concrete strings of piping pan along to water’s edge (Blackness in West Lothian). GAV six pipes. GV across River Forth. SV pan Hawser cable out of water to hydraulic rams. LV large drums winding in cable. SV interior control hut. SV Hawser cable. SV hydraulic ram operating.
