Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Badminton Horse Trials. DESCRIPTION: The finest riders in the World gather together for this formidable cross-country event. Watched by members of the Royal Family, and in appalling weather conditions, the competitors struggle round the course. Captain Mark Phillips joins the contestants on the sunnier last day, but the incredible winner was Miss Lucinda Prior-Palmer, riding ‘George’, with her other entry ‘Killaire’ taking 3rd place. Having won this event for the third time, the girl from Hampshire has truly earned her place among Britain’s top equestrians. SHOTLIST: GV Badminton House.
