MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rugby League Cup Final St. Helens V Widnes. DESCRIPTION: St. Helens and Widnes were the finalists who came to Wembley’s famous turf to do battle for the Rugby League Challenge Cup. St. Helens opened the scoring with a try by Eddie Cunningham and Geoff Pimblett converted to make it 5 points to nil. The final score - St. Helens 20, Widnes 5, a victory to the SAINTS. SHOTLIST: MCU ball on ground, it is kicked at 306’ by Widnes No 7 Reg Bowden. MLS pan with ball in the air, it is caught by St. Helens player who starts to run with the ball. MS St. Helens player being brought to the ground. MLS St. Helens heel out the ball and it is passed along the line. MCU men running. MLS scrum being formed.
