Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Viareggio Carnival. DESCRIPTION: Papier-mache is the main ingredient used to construct the large figures for the floats in the Viareggio Carnival Parade. The theme of the Carnival is very political and many of the World’s leaders are caricatured. SHOTLIST: SV hangar where floats are made. MS man painting giant face on one of the floats. MCU face having it’s tongue painted. MS man painting giant face of a queen for a float. MCU man painting giant face. MCU ditto. MS giant face with a giant Kissinger face brought along side. MCU one of Kissinger’s eyes. The head is turned to face the camera. MS giant face of President Mao Tse Tung and USSR Premier Brezhnev. MCU part of Brezhnev’s face, pan to Mao Tse-Tung’s face.
