Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Fishing in Ireland. DESCRIPTION: A fisherman’s paradise is the beautiful River Shannon where the salmon run in abundance and there are many other fish to catch as well. The number of salmon in the River is increasing, as under the auspices of the Electricity Supply Board, who control part of the River, the fish are reared to the Smolt Stage and released. SHOTLIST: GV River Shannon - pan SV man fishing on side of bank. SV man in boat fishing. LV man hauling fish out of lake. SV fisherman holding up salmon. CU John Enright getting a piece of coloured feather from pile of feathers & deer hair. CU John Enright tying a "Yellow Hairy Mary" artificial fly, SV zoom in.
