- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Fishing in Ireland. DESCRIPTION: A fisherman’s paradise is the beautiful River Shannon where the salmon run in abundance and there are many other fish to catch as well. The number of salmon in the River is increasing, as under the auspices of the Electricity Supply Board, who control part of the River, the fish are reared to the Smolt Stage and released.
