Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Pewter Pots. DESCRIPTION: In Medieval times pewter utensils were used in most households, now the use of pewter is coming back into fashion. SHOTLIST: GV pan Pewterers Hall. CU foundation stone. SV illuminated scroll. CU mugs of all sizes in cabinet (may be wine measurers). SCU hand places another mug in the cabinet. SV pan the warders of worshipful company of pewterers walk to their seats. SV master, Mr Ralph Peacock opens the court, he bangs hamper and they all sit. GV interior of court. SV ladleful of molten pewter is taken from cauldron. LV man takes it over to mould. SV pan molten pewter being poured into mould. SV pan molten pewter being poured into another mould. SV man pouring pewter into mould. CU man. CU cooled one being tapped out of mould. SV ditto pan to others already out (goblet stems). SV man shaping plate on lathe. CU man. CU goblet being turned on lathe. CU handle being turned on lathe. CU handle being soldered on mug. SV ditto pan to stack of completed mugs. CU pewter coffee pot & milk pot.
