MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Horse Racing in Malta. DESCRIPTION: Marsa Race Track was the venue for the Kursall Flat Handicap, one of the first races for Lady Jockeys in Malta. The winner of this seven furlong race was Current Arrest, ridden to victory by Brooke Sanders. SHOTLIST: GV Msida Greek & harbour. GV ditto with fleet in dock in Valletta Harbour. GV frigates in dock. CU Malta Racing Club sign above gates. SV crowd at race course & band playing. GV horses & jockeys out on course warming up for trotting race (jockeys in cabs). LV winner Current Arrest riding into enclosure whip pan SV Mrs J Gibson being presented with model of Gozo Boat for getting most points during day’s racing.
