MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Building the Beaches Colour. DESCRIPTION: Sand is brought ashore from the sea off Bournemouth to replace the beaches which have been washed away. SHOTLIST: LV dredger at sea. SCU radar on boat spinning round. SV arm of dredger on side of boat. SV signal going up to show they are dredging. MS men on bridge of boat. GV dredger arm being lowered in water. SV deck of dredger pan down to water in water tank on ship. Top shot deck of dredger. CU rushing water in machinery on dredger. SV ditto pan to tank of water. SV men on bridge of boat. MS wave splashing on deck. CU sea pan to dredger. LV pipes from dredger going back to beach. GV beach. GV people on beach. SV truck moving pipes. LV beach shot through a pipe. SV pipe being carried into position. LV stretch of pipe along beach. CU mound of sand. SV 2 lady sunbathers by a sign ‘Sorry for any Inconvenience’. GV people on beach pan to tractor moving sand. Pull focus to tin can and plastic cup and paper on beach. CU bucket and spade stuck in sand with waves lapping round them.
