- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: RAF Keeps Its Vigil in the Clouds. DESCRIPTION: We follow, 10,000 feet up, mounting the skies over Andover Aerodrome. EDITOR’S NOTE: British Movietone News is happy in its present privilege of affording a glimpse of the daily work of No 12 Squadron RAF, equipped with Hawker "Harts". These machines, the fastest day bombers in the world, develop a speed of three miles a minute from their Rolls Royce engines. SHOTLIST: March past of air force men shouldering rifles. Padre is present. RAF band play. The RAF flag is hoisted. Panning shot of Hawker Harts in the hangars with close shot of a pilot checking the engine with a mechanic. Planes brought out onto the aerodrome. Pilots walk out onto aerodrome in full flying kit. Climb into machines. Close shot of observer and pilot in Plane checking up their job. Long shot of aircraft taking off in formation. Various shots in air. (Aerial) Formation comes over camera in inverted "V" formation. Close shots of planes flying low over countryside. Long shot into camera landing. Elevated shot of others lined up. CU of engines ticking over and taking off. RAF being lowered (flag). Outside hangar.
