Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Canoe Exhibition. DESCRIPTION: In Britain alone, this is a one and a half million pound business. The 2 day exhibition showed, all the latest canoe gear, paddles etc., rubber suits and even fashion had crept in here. There were earrings, finger rings, tie clips and cuff links. Also at the show, Canoe Polo, played in a swimming pool, with 5 men in each team. SHOTLIST: TV 3 canoeists doing eskimo rolls in pool. GTV canoeists rolling. TV 3 canoeists ditto. GV pan interior exhibition. MS pan from rack of canoes to customer lifting and examining canoe. MS salesman showing paddle to girl. MCU pan up as she reaches up to tip of paddle. MS canoeist putting on helmet. CU face of dummy. MS pan down dummy wearing rubber suit. MS sign jewellery for the canoeist pan down to salesgirl and customer. CU salesgirl takes canoe tie-pin out of box and hands it to customer (girl wearing canoe ring). MS pan down rack of canoes. MS do-it-yourself kit pan to made up canoes. TV canoe polo games in progress. MS ditto player paddles up to ball in water and throws it out of frame. GTV goal scored at far end of pool pan to crowds watching. MS player (in white) passes ball, intercepted by opponent who throws it up pool. MS 4 players fighting for ball near goal, one player rolls over and another scores goal. MS crowd watching a clock. MS scrummage for ball, 2 players tip over.
