- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Present Inventions. DESCRIPTION: Some of these unusual French gadgets could make surprising presents. But they’ve been thought up more by design than by accident. SHOTLIST: SV man in bed wakes up with a start as giant alarm clock rings. CU man rubs his eyes and turns clock. SCU junction box for electric trouser presser. SCU man removes his trousers from presser. SV man selecting tie from revolving tie rack. CU the rack revolving. SCU man selects one and puts it on. SCU man’s cuff-link which is also a watch. SV 2 girls on sofa, one offers other a cigarette. CU candle table lighter which lights automatically when lifted. SCU girl lights cigarette. CU candle lighter goes out when put down. SV binoculars standing on ornamental globe. SV pan girl gets up from sofa walks over to binoculars & looks through them. CU girl looking through binoculars. SV other girl takes them from her, unscrews eyepiece & starts to pour drink from them. SCU drink being poured from binoculars. CU ice bowl incorporating flashing lights. SV girl takes ice from bowl. CU ice is put into drink. SV man walking along street with walking cane. SCU angle shot as he opens cane out into an umbrella. SCU pan as he passes with umbrella up.
