MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Model Plane Championships. DESCRIPTION: Seven Nations took part in the World Championships for Model Aircraft, judged on accuracy and craftsmanship as well as performance and control. Some of the world’s finest models were on show. SHOTLIST: LV French team preparing model aircraft, zoom in to CU. SV zoom in to Robert Lestournaud with his Jodel D140. CU zoom back to GV No 11 (Sweden) Spitfire IX. CU operating remote control box, pan up to Karl Einer Tell. LV Spitfire takes off and pan in air. SV crowd watching. SV pan Spitfire crashes & skids along on nose. CU pan model plane & pilot in cockpit. SV No 4 (Bruno Klupp) with his Cherokee Arrow. CU showing detailed instrument panel. SV Roy Yates (No 18) with his Percival Proctor IV. CU operating remote control box. SV pan No 18 takes off. CU 2 men looking skywards. SV pan 18 flies past low over ground. SV pan 30 flying round held by cord. SV pan 12 takes off. SV pan 13 starts to takes off but tips up on its nose.
