That seems to be the message of this years Motor Show, where bread and butter machinery gets a liberal helping of go faster marmalade to satisfy the urge for the Most out of the Least. Sir Gerald Nabarro seeks a Sovereign - the new one from Daimler. We look at the New Triumph and the GT Minis and Hillman, while the GT Thirteen Hundreds should be world beaters. We drive in one of the sexiest cars on the road, the Lotus Europa. But a car’s only as good as its reliability. The annual Five hundred mile race at Bathurst in New South Wales is one of the world’s toughest tests of a machine’s endurance. This year it’s won at a record average of over ninety!
