Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: News in Colour Power Game & Pop. DESCRIPTION: The Isle of Wight has never known a weekend like it - three multitudinous days when youth took over Woodside Bay for one of the largest Pop Festivals ever held And, while it was all happening on the Pop Scene, the Power Game was ripping the Channel into shreds! More than seventy entries in the International Offshore Powerboard Race, over 230 miles to Torquay and back Winner - in an new record for the race - America’s Don Aronow in The Cigarette Although Bob Dylan caused some disappointment by his brief appearance, the other artistes kept the pot boiling and, in spite of their worst forebodings, the Islanders survived the experience Certainly - whatever you may feel about the younger generation - this Woodside Festival was a remarkable example of restraint where nobody seemed to lose his cool.
