Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Building Britain. DESCRIPTION: A private enterprise Research Centre in Surrey is testing building components, simulating the effects of fire upon brick walls. In Reading, an unusual Topping Out ceremony features Milk and Pinta Girls. In Trafalgar Square, Nelson’s Column gets it’s first proper clean-up since it was built in 1844. SHOTLIST: GV pan Redland Research building. MS men working at drawing board. MS tiles wind tunnel. MS propeller starts turning at entrance to wind tunnel. LS tiles being tested in wind tunnel.
