He became a self taught painter during his imprisonment in Dartmoor and prison from the inside is the disturbing theme of an exhibition of his work in London. We contrast this extraordinary show with the work of Ronald Searle. His exhibition of Unconventional Cats reveals this famous artist’s wry humour at its best.
