MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Blunderbuss. DESCRIPTION: The name of a fifty-foot long ear trumpet that simulates the sonic bangs of Concorde. SHOTLIST: Zoom out along inside Blunderbuss Tube. MLS scientist walks to tube. CU scientist adjusting transducer. CU scientist. MS scientist adjusting Polaroid camera. CU ditto. CU plastic diaphragm being inserted beyond narrow end of cone. MS scientist signals to start experiment. CU another technician turns to turn on air. CU technician turns on air tap. CU camera shutter opened. CU air pressure dial rises as pressure builds up - then drops suddenly as diaphragm breaks. CU camera adjusted after taking picture of sonic signal.
