Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: After Aberfan?. DESCRIPTION: With the bodies of a hundred and eleven children and thirty-two adults already recovered, work continues at Aberfan to clear the remaining houses of black mud. The anguish of bereavement will linger, but with it, the other emotions of anger and distrust. After Aberfan, will other tips threaten to inundate other mining villages in Wales? The lesson of disaster is a grim one and the Public Enquiry must discover the limitations in the present warning system; the miners and their families must be secure from another disaster somewhere else.
