DESCRIPTION: West German Navy submarine Hai, recently sunk in the North Sea; latest tragic chapter in ill-fated story of ex-U Boat, scuttled during the war. This accident highlights recent criticisms of seaworthiness of German Navy. Britain’s latest submarine promises a more successful future. Resolution, launched by the Queen Mother at Barrow-in-Furness, is this country’s first Polaris Submarine.
