Mrs Indira Gandhi, daughter of the late Pandit Nehru, now becomes, after the death of Mr Shastri, leader of the Indian people. In a military uprising, the rumoured murder of Prime Minister Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa of Nigeria. At the end of a record term of office for any Prime Minister, Sir Robert Menzies of Australia, retires, and we take a look at his long political career and his successor Harold Holt, who at 57, succeeds him to the Premiership.
