MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Design for Short Circuits!. DESCRIPTION: A new electric car for short journeys in the congested streets of cities. It has a top speed of 35 miles an hour, is under four feet wide and can carry two people in reasonable comfort for only a farthing a mile. It will cost about 300 pounds and may be going into production next year. SHOTLIST: MCU electric cable being taken from beneath number plate to re-charge battery. MCU cable being plugged in. MS man getting into three wheel car. CU man selecting forward or reverse gear. MCU man operating accelerator and brake pedals. MS front of car being shut down and car turned in small circle and driven away. BS car driven out through workshop doors. MLS car coming around corner of building. Shot from inside car whilst car is moving. LS car along road. Shot from inside car. GV car entering courtyard. TS car weaving in between other cars already parked. MS ditto. TS car enters parking space turns around in small circle and stops. MS man getting out of car.
