Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Flame for the Future. DESCRIPTION: Sea Gas (B&W). Sea Gas (Colour - no story title). Forty miles off the Humber Estuary the oil rig Sea Gem has been searching for natural gas under the North Sea since June. The discovery of gas in September has been followed by the dramatic news that Sea Gem is sitting on a vast natural gas field. Ecumenical Council Ends - (Colour and Colour End Title). Also pictures of the end of the Ecumenical Council in Rome. More than 2,000 Bishops proceed to the ceremony in St Peter’s Square which marks the end of three years of debate.
