- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Plastic Milk Bottles. DESCRIPTION: Britain is drinking around four million gallons of milk a day. A factory in Mildenhall, Suffolk has found an alternative to the familiar milk bottle. A machine uses a tube of polythene sheet. It fills it with milk and seals off the tubes into pint sized sachets. They are lighter to carry, less cumbersome and they don’t break. SHOTLIST: pan shot of milkman delivering milk, to medium shot putting milk bottles on doorstep. Medium shot of milk bottle filling machine. Milk bottles being washed in machine. Drying machine. Full milk bottles being put into crates. Plastic containers being packed. Plastic containers being filled by machine. Bags being filled. Crates of plastic milk containers. Containers being delivered to house. Container put on step, empty bottle taken away. Milk bottle picked up then dropped and broken.
