- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Science Helps the Harvest. DESCRIPTION: One factory at Linz, which produced chemicals for the farmer, has developed a chemical compound, called CCC which is claimed to be the greatest advance since the introduction of artificial fertilisers. Application of CCC, results in strengthening the stalk, which makes the grain better able to withstand the buffeting of bad weather. Imported from America, is a new combine harvester. It uses an electro-hydraulic levelling system. The main body of the machine stays level, while the cutter bar follows the contour of the hill. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
