- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ambassador Disaster. DESCRIPTION: Wallowing in waves nearly forty feet high, the British freighter Ambassador. Six hundred miles off Nova Scotia, the seas had smashed her life boats and poured into the hatches to contaminate the fuel. With engines out of action, she was listing until her starboard rail was often under the sea. Twenty one of the crew were rescued by a Norwegian cargo ship and an American Coast Guard Cutter.
