- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Valley of Death. DESCRIPTION: Many people living in farms and villages of the Piave Valley were already asleep when the wall of water swept them into oblivion. For others, the sleep of death must have come with merciful speed. Nearly two thousand of them have been found in the grey mud of the burial ground that once was Longarone.
