MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cowes Regatta (In Colour). DESCRIPTION: Looking at these pictures, you can almost smell the sea, taste the salt and feel the sunburn! The Royal Yacht Britannia was the centrepiece in the crowded anchorage at Cowes, and Prince Philip with famous yachtsman Uffa Fox, went out in Coweslip, his Flying Fifteen. The Prince was later to share third place in one of the races. More than any other sport, sailing is a chance to get away from it all. It’s a chance to exchange the rat-race for the tide-race.
